Chris Hodgson
President
Chris Hodgson was appointed as the new President of the Ontario Mining Association in late October 2004. He joined the OMA following a distinguished career in government.
He entered the Legislature following a by-election in 1994 and he won general elections in 1995 and 1999 representing the riding of Haliburton-Victoria-Brock. While in government, Chris served in several positions including Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Minister of Natural Resources, Chairman of Management Board and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. John Blogg
Secretary and Manager of Industrial Relations
Along with his duties as Secretary for the Association, he deals with issues concerning labour relations, employment standards, workers' compensation and occupational health and safety. John has been involved in safety, loss control and safety training for 30 years and he has been with the OMA for 18 years. He is a member of the Canadian Standards Association Executive Committee and the Qualifications Committee of the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals and is a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering. Prior to joining the OMA, John worked in senior positions at Extendicare Health Services and the Construction Safety Association. Contact: jblogg@oma.on.ca
Peter McBride
Manager of Communications
He has been at the OMA since 1990. Along with being responsible for communications functions he deals with taxation and First Nations issues for the Association and is secretary and scorekeeper for the John T. Ryan National Safety Trophies Committee. A graduate in political economy from the University of Toronto , he has held public affairs and investors relations positions with Falconbridge Limited and Corona Corporation. Prior to his involvement in the mining sector, he worked as an editor, reporter and editorial writer for the Toronto Star and the Hamilton Spectator. Contact: pmcbride@oma.on.

Cheryl Brownlee
Manager Stakeholder Relations/Executive Assistant
Cheryl joined the OMA in 2005 and is responsible for managing the activities of the Association in regards to energy policy, fostering stakeholder and member relations and assisting the President. Along with the OMA Energy Committee, she strives to promote policies and regulations towards a reliable and competitively priced energy system. Originally from Dryden, she is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in political science and a diploma in business studies. Prior to joining the Association, Cheryl worked at Queen's Park as a policy advisor to the Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Natural Resources, Management Board and Municipal Affairs and Housing. Adrianna Stech
Manager Environment and Sustainability
Adrianna brings a high level of international expertise and experience to her position at the OMA, where she started working in 2005. A graduate from the University of Toronto, she can include in her career path having worked for a number of different organizations including the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, a charitable foundation in New York and a financial consultant in Hong Kong. Most recently, she has been working as a consultant in the event planning and communications fields in Toronto. Adrianna is responsible for managing the activities of the OMA Environment Committee and representing the Association in various environmental and sustainability working groups and at related conferences and events. Paulette Washer
Officer Manager
Along with her office managerial responsibilities, Paulette handles the bookkeeping and contracts for the Association and deals with budgets. She has been with the Ontario Mining Association for 27 years. Contact: pwasher@oma.on.ca
Dawn Inks
Senior Secretary
Dawn, who has been with the Association since 1997, provides secretarial duties, organizational infrastructure and administrative support for all OMA managers. She also manages the Association´s data base and contact information with government and other organizations. Contact: dkinks@oma.on.ca
